  • In one of the most popular TED videos, "Do schools kill creativity", Ken Robinson makes an entertaining and profoundly moving case for creating an education system that nurtures (rather than undermines) creativity. We will watch this video together, and Wylie Hughes will lead a discussion where you can voice your own opinion as well. We encourage you to watch the video at home as well. Subtitles available in many languages! http://www.ted.com/talks/ken_robinson_says_schools_kill_creativity Please send your RSVP to amcorner@uni-corvinus.hu until 14th Nov.
  • Come and join for us a Veterans' Day event, held by a retired American history teacher, Bob Norris. Originally called Armistice Day to celebrate the truce ending World War I, the presentation will be about Veterans Day, the US holiday that honors all people who have served in the armed forces of the United States. Bob will also talk about the broader historical context behind this holiday, as well as how war and peace are present in our lives today. He will invite participants to contribute to the discussion about what we can do to contribute to a more peaceful world around us, and why it is important to remember our history. Please send your RSVP to amcorner@uni-corvinus.hu until 8th Nov.
